Tuzla Airport's numbers slip in August

NEWS FLASH

Tuzla Airport has seen its passenger numbers decline for a second consecutive month this August when compared to last year. The airport, which acts as a base for budget carrier Wizz Air, handled 30.333 travellers during the month, a decrease of 8.1%. It is the first time the airport’s figures have declined since the low cost carrier launched operations from the city in 2013. The decline is partly the result of Wizz Air’s termination of its Tuzla – Sandefjord service last November. However, overall, Tuzla Airport handled 204.178 travellers during the January – August period, up a notable 20.8% on last year. Wizz Air will add flights from Tuzla to Billund and London Luton next month before basing a second aircraft and opening a handful of new routes from Bosnia and Herzegovina’s third largest city in March 2017.

Could we see INI overtake them soon?

How? Wizz Air is basing one more aircraft at TZL, which means the airport is going above 500k with the second aircraft while INI doesn't even have a base status for them yet. So tell me, how can INI overtake them soon?

I'm not sure if you're aware but Nis will have just as many flights as Tuzla soon with Ryanair so it is quiet possible. Maybe relax on your attitude as its not a good look for you.

      I guess petty rivalries.

When airports go from having next to no passengers, I don't blame the "obsession". Not to mention these people may be from these parts of ExYu so it could be exciting for them. As people's "obsession" doesn't harm you in any way of form, just let it go and let people talk about whatever excites them. No need for comments such and the above on this forum. It is more petty than what you're complaining about.
