EX-YU airlines see mixed St Petersburg results

NEWS FLASH

Air Serbia and Croatia Airlines launched seasonal summer flights to St Petersburg this year with varying success. Evgeny Ilyin, the Commercial Director of St Petersburg's Pulkovo Airport, says, "Air Serbia recorded good results. Although they won't fly during the winter, they will operate additional flights during the New Year's holidays. Croatia Airlines' performance was somewhat weaker. They saw an average cabin load factor of 60% but this is their only destination in Russia. They have adjusted their flight times from Zagreb in order to offer better connections to passengers so next year should be much better". Air Serbia maintained three weekly flights between Belgrade and St Petersburg this summer, while Croatia Airlines operated two weekly flights from Zagreb. Both commenced services in June. Air Serbia will operate two weekly flights to the Russian city between December 21 and January 22 this winter season.

Let's hope both OU and ASL can maintain full yearly service starting next summer season.

  2. Zanimljivo je kako Air Serbia gotovo nikada ne daje konkretne brojke. Nikada nekakvih konkretnih informacija od njih.

Till the end of September ASL performed 45 flights and transported 9507 passengers on BEG-LED route, with PLF 81,5%. However, in October PLF is slightly slipping down and is somewhere around 76%.

Thanks for that. So LF is pretty good for a new route. If ASL had capacity should have kept the route year round.
