Eurowings to upgrade Rijeka service

NEWS FLASH

Eurowings will upgrade its seasonal summer flights between Cologne and Rijeka to year-round operations. Flights will be maintained past October 29 twice per week, each Wednesday and Sunday with an Airbus A319 aircraft. It will become Rijeka Airport's only international route during the winter period. Eurowings has expanded significantly in Croatia this year, and has already announced the extension of its summer flights between Munich and Split, as well as between Dusseldorf and PuLa, to year-round operations. Furthermore, the budget airline will launch flights from Dusseldorf to Zagreb this winter. Eurowings is the only foreign carrier to maintain operations to all of Croatia's main airports - Zagreb, Split, Dubrovnik, Pula, Zadar, Osijek and Rijeka.

Good job Rijeka and Eurowings! Hope LG will be good on this route, during the winter cuz the in summer timetable works great. This is great opportunity for locals too to travel from Rijeka to many cities in Germany and more eurowings destinations around Europe, specially when CGN is their base. Hope Rijeka will do better next summer, with more destinations. For now first 6 months are almost the same like last year, but numbers will go up in November and December with this flights to/from CGN.
