Split Airport registers record weekend

NEWS FLASH

Split Airport has registered its busiest weekend on record, with some 55.000 passengers handled over the two days. "For us, the last weekend in July and the first in August are traditionally the busiest of the season. During this time, on Saturdays, we welcome around 30.000 passengers, and a further 25.000 on Sundays. Over the same period last year, we had 28.000 passengers on Saturdays and 20.000 on Sundays. Now it has gone up to 30.000 and 25.000 respectively. We have truly broken passenger records", the airport said in a statement. During the first half of 2017, Split Airport welcomed 872.443 travellers through its doors, up 27.1% on the same period last year. The management estimates the airport will register 2.5 million passengers by year's end.

Great! Split will easily handle 2,7 million passengers this year. Next year 3 millions :)

It must be crazy to handle 30K on a single day thru that little terminal. Unbelievable

Nije stajanka ogranicavajuci faktor vec nedostatak rulnica.
I da, SPU nema prostora za sirenje.
Jel ti to zeljeznicu u HR spominjes?

A tek turista...

  7. Madness indeed. Considering the terminal size and capacity, 30,000 a day is almost at the level of Gatwick, which at the hight of the summer season serves close to 100,000 pax a day, but has two large terminals, with 3 aprons each.

Yes and pax experience waiting to get to the terminal.
