VLM Airlines to launch August 8

NEWS FLASH

Slovenia's VLM Airlines has scheduled its first two seasonal routes out of its base in Maribor. As previously reported, the airline will maintain flights to Split, as well as Dubrovnik, opting for the latter instead of the previously planned Tivat. Services will run once per week until the end of August, each Tuesday, with the 50-seat Fokker 50 aircraft. Tickets are available for purchase through the airline's website, with return fares starting from 78 euros. Each ticket includes complementary parking at Maribor Edvard Rusjan Airport. "Aside from the scheduled flights from Maribor to Split and Dubrovnik, VLM Airlines also operates seasonal flights from Italy (Ancona, Bari and Salerno) to Croatia (Brač, Split and Zadar), Greece (Corfu, Preveza and Zakynthos) and Montenegro (Podgorica and Tivat)", the airline said in a statement. Flight details for the new Maribor - Split service can be found here, while further information for the Dubrovnik flights are available here.

It seems like a very logical and realistic start with no serious risk taken. However I am still extremly sceptical about this airlaine and their project.

Yes, me too. Even Air Croatia flew for a couple of weeks. We'll see.

Correct, those amateurs managed to last for 21-22 days with 3 destinations. Let's see if these ones will surpass :)

They could arrange some contracts with tour operators and fly some charters there...

I wish would not be the case but there are WB restrictions on F50 in/out of LJPZ.

I just checked the website and its done very badly. First of all they are asking for a credit card info without implementing ssl certificate. Second, the facebook link goes to wix which is website builder. Most of the links are not working also. There is no expiration date fields for the CC, not sure why. Good luck anyway!

I have been on their webpage and they are improving it all of the time. Always more options open and links working. I think that we should just give them some time to finish it.

I think there is good to mention also some ideas about:
    MBX-BEG-POZ (summer 2018?)
    BUD-MBX-BWK (summer 2018?)
To involve Kompas, Relax and other Adriatic specialist to offer good connections to Adriatic with a free parking service would be gr8 choice! Do not forget put on sale this tickets much earlier with some marketing actions in Graz/Klagenfurt/Varaždin and Ljubljana market! 1 week before starting with flights... i didnt hear yet that this is a good timing for preadvertising but let the fingers cross! Dont forget even to put MBX as a bus stop for international bus lines when the traffic is on www.busradar.com or www.getbybus.com!

Prilično neozbiljan "pokušaj" za start, koji naravno neće dobro završiti...
