Austrian selects Pristina for last F100 flight

NEWS FLASH

Austrian Airlines will operate its last commercial flight with a Fokker 100 aircraft on December 31 between Pristina and Vienna. The Austrian carrier noted that there could be some last minute changes to the scheduling of its final F100 service, but, at this point, Pristina will be the last city to bid farewell to the aircraft (registered OE-LVE). It was initially scheduled to be retired at the end of this month. As of January 2, 2018, Austrian will use a mix of Embraer E195 and Airbus A320 aircraft on its flights to Pristina. Austrian and its former regional subsidiary Tyrolean Airways operated up to 24 F100 and F70 jets in the past.

  1. It will be interesting to see if this indeed turns out to be the case. Currently one of JP's CRJ9 operates VIE-PRN route for Austrian.

On the other hand JP earlier this week leased a F100 (YR-FZA) from Carpatair to operate its FRA/MUC-PRN/TIA routes. What's going on?
