Podgorica Airport welcomes millionth passenger

NEWS FLASH

Podgorica Airport has handled its millionth passenger, the first time it has managed to do so in a single year. The millionths traveller arrived yesterday on an Austrian Airlines flight from Vienna. "I am delighted that after Tivat, Podgorica Airport has also managed to surpass that magic number of one million passengers. This has been a record year, however, we will surpass it in 2018", the General Manager of the Airports of Montenegro operator, Danilo Orlandić, said. The country's two international airports have handled a combined total of 2.110.000 travellers so far this year and recorded 13.000 aircraft movements. "We anticipate some 2.200.000 passengers at the two airports by year's end, which is 315.000 more than in 2016", the operator noted.
