Montenegrin airports record strong Q1

Montenegro's two international airports have registered strong passenger growth throughout the first quarter. Podgorica Airport welcomed 66.518 travellers in March, representing an increase of 18.7% on the same month last year. Over the first quarter, Montenegro's capital city airport handled 181.381 passengers, which is up 18.1% on 2017. Serbia remains the largest country market from Podgorica, followed by Russia and Austria.

Over at Tivat, the airport handled 23.070 passengers last month, an increase of 14.2%. During Q1, Tivat Airport welcomed 59.449 travellers through its doors, up 20.8%. Russia has been the largest market from Tivat so far this year followed by Serbia.

Jointly, both Podgorica and Tivat airports registered a total of 1.914 aircraft movements during the first quarter of 2018, representing an increase of 19%.
