Pristina and Sarajevo register strong growth

The airports in Pristina and Sarajevo have seen their passenger numbers grow in April when compared to last year. Pristina Airport welcomed 177.732 travellers through its doors last month, representing an increase of 3.1%. So far this year, it has handled 595.866 passengers, up 12.5% on 2017. This summer sees a number of airlines introduce new routes to the city including Norwegian Air Shuttle, Eurowings, SunExpress, Germania, Orange2Fly and Electra Airways.

Sarajevo Airport has recorded its eleventh consecutive month of passenger growth by handling 86.995 passengers in April, representing an increase of 9% on last year. The number of aircraft movements stood at 1.192, up 10%. During the first four months of 2018, Bosnia and Herzegovina's busiest airport welcomed 256.119 travellers through its doors, an increase of 15.5%. Aircraft movements grew 11% to 3.902. During the January - April period, Sarajevo Airport processed 730.919 kilograms of cargo.

    only 3%... that is a chance for SKP although they need 17% to reach PRN's April' nr

    Sarajevo...although it has good growth,base numbers are still very low.Shame for Bosnia and Sarajevo that Pristina with much smaller population has much more pax...

    good luck prn airport
    it’s very promising numbers compared to a small population and with restrictions on visa for EU ,being in top 5 airport in ex yu its not bad

    I'm thinking hypothetically, if all foreign agencies, soldiers, etc are out of Kosovo, will the numbers get worse a lot? Or is the diaspora that strong that can sustain feeding three airports, PRN, SKP and INI.

      you’re wrong my friend
      foreign agency have all other countries so its the same compered to other neighboring contry (prn have small number of foreign embassies compared to skp,bg,) but have eulex instead, about soldiers its a small nr and they make shifts every 6 months so all in all i think again diaspora its to big
