Air Serbia presents new catering

Wednesday, May 27, 2015

Air Serbia presented its new on board catering offer yesterday for both business and economy class passengers, which will come into effect on June 1. Air Serbia's Head Chef, Zoran Mišković, explained the menus and their three month rotation cycles, adding that Air Serbia's catering arm uses locally-sourced ingredients and includes organically grown products in its meals. The new menus include traditional Serbian dishes, as well as international specialities. Among them, a special place will be reserved for the most sought-after menu item, the traditional walnut cookie Orasnica, which is fast becoming Air Serbia's signature cookie. In line with IATA standards, passengers can make special meal requests, by selecting from the special menus offer when booking their tickets, the carrier says. Air Serbia Catering produces some 10.000 - 15.000 meals per day.

JU really has fantastic catering. I really enjoyed their sopska salata and reforma torta they used to serve to AUH.

Something they can improve on is by adding dry ice to their bars, as the beers and white wines are not chilled and drinks are not cold.

Also, the breakfast catered from AUH is horrible.

Some sort of ice containers have been introduced month or two ago to their bar carts, so that problem is sorted out.

Flew Air Serbia a few times this year and must say, they serve some of the best food in Europe... fully agree with the drinks comment, my beer was luke warm and spoiled an otherwise excellent meal. Subsequent request for mineral water was an equal fail - it was warm...
