Livery of the week: Belavia

The Belorussian national carrier, Belavia, has introduced a brand new livery, marking the first change to its visual identity in twenty years. Belavia said the former livery had been associated with the Soviet era and that it wanted to create a “modern image” for the airline. Development of the new livery took one-and-a-half years with assistance from branding specialist Paul Wylde. It is centred around the cornflour image, featured on the tail, which is associated with happiness and longevity in Belarus.

  1. I always liked their retro style but I fully understand why they would want to distance themselves from images of the Soviet Union and the past.

As far as liveries go, I like this one.
