Friday, May 1, 2015

The UK-based Micro Nav (MNL) has been selected to supply a BEST radar simulation system to the Serbia and Montenegro Air Traffic Services Agency (SMATSA), which monitors the airspace of both countries, following the completion of a public procurement procedure and subsequent invitation to tender distributed in January 2015. The BEST Radar simulator, to be delivered to SMATSA during 2016, will be used to train future air traffic controllers. The simulator will consist of sixteen controller and twelve pilot positions including consoles, fully compliant with SESAR2020 functionalities, speech recognition and a full suite of communications systems. Mike Male, Director and Founder of Micro Nav, said, "We are delighted to have been awarded this contract and the opportunity that it brings to continue our relationship with SMATSA following on from our successful collaborative work on the 3D Tower project”.
