Nordica to launch Ohrid flights

NEWS FLASH

Estonia's national airline Nordica will introduce seasonal flights from Tallinn to Ohrid next summer season. Services will run once per week from June 1 until September 15 with the ninety-seat Bombardier CRJ900 aircraft. The General Manager of TAV Macedonia, which runs Ohrid Airport, Alper Ersoy, said, "We are very satisfied that our Marketing Department in Istanbul managed to persuade Nordica to fly to Macedonia. With seasonal scheduled flights on the route, Nordica will bring Estonian tourists to Ohrid Lake once a week on Fridays. We expect more than 2.500 passengers from Estonia at Ohrid Airport during the 2018 summer season. Tallinn means a new incoming passenger market for Ohrid Airport – Estonia - and we are very pleased to be able to introduce it, since it will bring many benefits not just for the airport, but for the entire tourism sector". Tallinn will be the fifth new destination to be introduced to Ohrid within the past two years. TAV Macedonia recently held talks with Nordica's part-owner, LOT Polish Airlines, over the introduction of new flights from Poland to both Skopje and Ohrid.
