Croatia Airlines employee tests positive for Covid-19

Croatia Airlines has confirmed that one of its staff members has tested positive for the coronavirus Covid-19. “Based on epidemiological testing, we are able to confirm that one of Croatia Airlines‘ employees has tested positive for the coronavirus. Specifically, this employee is part of out Technical Services Division, who performs his duties within office premises. The aforementioned employee has been on sick leave since March 17 and in home isolation ever since. Therefore, he has had no direct contact with any of his colleagues since March 16”, the company said. It added, “In line with procedures for dealing with such circumstances, and in accordance with existing instructions set out by Croatian public health authorities, we have begun the process of tracing all employees who have had contact with the infected colleague prior to him taking sick leave. The list of employees will be submitted to the competent healthcare authorities and it is expected all will be tested for the coronavirus”. The workplace where the infected employee performed his professional duties, as well as all the surrounding area in the Technical Services Division, were disinfected on March 18, and again today. “It is important to note that since January Croatia Airlines has been continuously monitoring and following the recommendations issued by relevant public health and professional authorities regarding the coronavirus epidemic. In early February, surgical masks, disposable rubber gloves, disinfectant fluids and sanitary wipes were distributed to all operational personnel (flight, ground, sales and technical staff) who are in direct contact with passengers. Furthermore, the company's operating manuals prescribe procedures for the detection of infectious disease in crew members and passengers”, Croatia Airlines said.

      Believe you me, its just a matter of days one or more cabin or flight crews gets tested positive.

      Everybody else is stupid, only CTN and ZAG are clever still carrying passengers. Very irresponsible.

  2. This happens everywhere, even in many governmental institutions worldwide, it's not unavoidable or abnormal in this case. I hope nobody blames OU!

      Agree. Now almost every larger company has a positive case or at least possible but not (yet) tested cases.
