Air Serbia to boost Zurich after quarantine lift

NEWS FLASH

Air Serbia plans to increase its operations between Belgrade and Zurich after Swiss authorities announced a mandatory ten-day quarantine for passengers arriving from the country will be lifted. Since resuming operations on May 21, Zurich has been one of Air Serbia’s best performing routes, along with New York, with the carrier handling over 14.000 passengers on 216 flights. The airline plans to operate a double daily service to the Swiss city throughout September. “As a leading carrier of choice between Serbia and Switzerland, we are proud to keep offering more value to our customers and have selected the Zurich route as the first one to introduce our new Always More campaign. Under this campaign, we will be introducing new features and benefits, bringing more value to our customers and differentiate ourselves from our competitors”, Jiri Marek, Air Serbia’s General Manager for Commercial and Strategy, said. He added the “campaign Always More offers to Air Serbia passengers special benefits, such as flexibility to move the flight up to 24 hours before the scheduled departure time free of charge, 50% discounts for flight tickets for children under the age of twelve, free access to the Premium Lounge in Belgrade and the recently introduced priority check-in for families with children at a special Family check-in counter available for the entire Air Serbia flight network”.

I am curious to see if LX responds. They currently barely operate any flights.

Nice to see frequencies are returning, however it might be worth revisiting their destination network and launching a couple new routes or going ahead with launching destinations they intended for this summer.
