Sky Express and Air Serbia ink deal

NEWS FLASH

Greek carrier Sky Express has announced it has entered into an interline partnership with Air Serbia, opening up new connections via Belgrade and Athens. The deal allows Air Serbia’s passengers to connect onto Sky Express’ domestic network of 26 destinations via Athens under a single itinerary, while Sky Express’ customers will gain access to Air Serbia’s European network. Those flying in partnership with the two carriers will have their luggage checked through to their final destination. Air Serbia also has a mutual codeshare partnership in place with Greece’s main carrier Aegean Airlines.

JU needs to fix its fares for codeshare flights. They are just too expensive.

Can you imagine JU charges its partners €90 return to SJJ?! Crazy, no wonder LH/OS dominate the market.

What rate do you think they should charge instead?

Covid has really changed the aviation landscape. I think BEG-ATH is an interesting case because JU always used to dominate but seems like A3 is changing that. JU has 7 weekly while A3 has 5. In the past, before covid, JU used to have 14 and A3 3 weekly. Aegean seems to have found a market this year.

Btw today's flight was upgraded from A320 to A321!

Aegean is a high quality airline and I am happy they do well in Belgrade. They offer a nice alaternative to TK for flights to the Middle East.

Rhats awesome, we are getting easier access to some exotic Greek islands like Milos or Lesbos to which charters from Serbia don't exist.
