This I think warrants major US airline to establish direct link with Zagreb, idealy with NYC.

On a seasonal basis at first, but once 1 million US visitors to Croatia is reached, then US airline would need to seriously consider year round service. 1 million US visitors will be reached around 2022. Flights to/from US tend to be very expensive, especially slots.
BEG for instance interestingly managed to sustain JFK for a long period and flights are all year round, not bad for an airport handing 5 million passengers annually. RIX is another good example.

As long as ZAG is well connected to the real airports, there is no need for direct flights.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5263744212273266286.post-3180661234845597732017-12-20T20:27:50.663+01:002017-12-20T20:27:50.663+01:00Of course, 5 weekly less OU LHR because of sold sl...Of course, 5 weekly less OU LHR because of sold slots plus 3 weekly less Monarch to LGW, of course someone must fill the gapAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5263744212273266286.post-42646538349330668552017-12-20T20:26:05.230+01:002017-12-20T20:26:05.230+01:00Perhaps TAP could fly ZAG-GIG with one of their A3...Perhaps TAP could fly ZAG-GIG with one of their A330? :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5263744212273266286.post-32659252956727671612017-12-20T20:23:50.175+01:002017-12-20T20:23:50.175+01:00Interesting nobody here mentions not as remote pos...Interesting nobody here mentions not as remote possibility the one that should be definitely the best - one LOT 787 based in ZAG- exactly what they did in BUD - with 4 weekly to New York and 2 weekly to Chicago, during summer season, and with reduced NYC/ORD capacity and distant holiday charter chains in winter, with OU codesharing to NA, and LO codesharing on OU domestic and Balkan flights, within * allianceAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5263744212273266286.post-1315342335728390982017-12-20T20:04:14.163+01:002017-12-20T20:04:14.163+01:00They already fly to LHR, so I suppose it stays (2n...They already fly to LHR, so I suppose it stays (2nd daily) LHR, which is great!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5263744212273266286.post-28718426148872723392017-12-20T19:58:21.755+01:002017-12-20T19:58:21.755+01:002nd daily to LHR or LGW?2nd daily to LHR or LGW?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5263744212273266286.post-60194436306594216632017-12-20T19:56:20.523+01:002017-12-20T19:56:20.523+01:00Anon 7:09 PM, do you have a source?Anon 7:09 PM, do you have a source?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5263744212273266286.post-47807090171972144622017-12-20T19:25:34.206+01:002017-12-20T19:25:34.206+01:00At this stage, probably, maybe in the future, but ...At this stage, probably, maybe in the future, but I don't think flights to and from US will happen before 2019/2020.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5263744212273266286.post-91881954815726498992017-12-20T19:24:04.167+01:002017-12-20T19:24:04.167+01:00Finally!
