Aviolet outlines summer operations

Thursday, April 16, 2015

Aviolet, Air Serbia’s dedicated charter brand, has revealed plans for its 2015 summer operations. Following its successful launch in 2014, Aviolet is set to play an increasingly important role in the charter flight market and the tourism industry in Serbia. For the upcoming season, Aviolet has confirmed flights to five countries: Turkey, Greece, Italy, Spain and Egypt, covering a total of nineteen destinations, including Antalya, Catania, Cephalonia, Chania, Corfu, Dalaman, Girona, Heraklion, Hurgada, Karpathos, Kos, Milas-Bodrum, Palermo, Palma de Mallorca, Rhodes, Santorini, Sharm el-Sheikh, Skiathos and Zakynthos. The brand is set to operate the majority of its flights during the peak of the summer season, between June 15 and September 15, with services to operate every seven and 10-11 days. The total number of flights operated is yet to be determined, as tour operators are still completing reservations according to their passenger bookings. Dane Kondić, Air Serbia’s CEO, says, “Aviolet was launched only last year and it has already demonstrated its potential to fulfil the needs of a particularly important market segment. We look forward to an even more successful summer season during which we expect Aviolet to deliver even stronger passenger numbers by offering a quality of travel, added value and experiences rarely seen on charter flights”. The charter brand will carry out flights with three rebranded and refurbished Boeing 737-300 aircraft, configured in an all-economy cabin setting of 144 seats. During the 2014 summer season, Aviolet operated over 520 return flights and carried over 90.000 passengers to popular vacation destinations.

These 520 flights include ad hoc charters to non-touristic destinations, the figure is well less than Jat Airways used to reach in the past.

Yes Einstein, but taken together with Air Serbia scheduled flights, the total is SIGNIFICANTLY greater than that of Jat Airways

They should have integrated the Aviogenex B737 into these charter flights on behalf of Aviolet. At least for Turkey and Egypt flights. So they could use one more B737 Aviolet as OPS reserve for Air Serbia.

Aviolet has 4 x 733s but only 3 are being deployed as the 4th is being used as an OPS reserve .... The Aviogenex plane is a 737-200 series aircraft which is crap and cannot fly into the EU

In fact, most frequent pattern will comprise of flights carried out every ten days, not seven or ten/eleven.
