Air Montenegro will introduce flights between Tivat and Skopje on May 1, 2027, initially operating twice per week. Macedonia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, Aleksandar Nikoloski, announced the service following talks with his Montenegrin counterpart, Filip Ivanović. Operating days and ticket sales details have yet to be disclosed. “The service will initially operate twice a week, starting on May 1. I hope it will make a significant contribution to increasing passenger numbers and exchanges between the two countries, as well as tourism and business. I hope many people will use it, further strengthening business exchanges between our two friendly, brotherly countries and allowing cooperation to grow even further”, Mr Nikoloski said. Mr Ivanović added, “This is more than the opening of an air route between the two countries; it creates opportunities for closer cooperation and even stronger connections between our citizens”.
Air Montenegro’s Chairman, Tihomir Dragaš, and CEO, Vukadin Stojanović, also attended the meeting. Earlier discussions had referred to restoring flights between Podgorica and Skopje, but the service announced at today’s press conference will link the Macedonian capital with Tivat. Yesterday, Air Montenegro announced the launch of five Public Service Obligation routes, launching over the next two months.

Flight time 25min?
ReplyDeleteAround 47 minutes (about 228 to 244 kilometers I dont know where did u get 25min
Deletejuhuu
ReplyDeleteTakes 7-8 hours to drive between the two cities
ReplyDeleteand pass through how many borders?
DeleteIts more about the state of the road from Peja to Montenegro. Or to wait entering via Albania.
Deleteand 11 hours on the bus
DeleteGhastly.
DeleteSo politicians have negotiated this route?
ReplyDeletewell someone has to start it
Delete4O is an extension of the state. No airline with shareholders can justify such a route.
Deletei believe when they (40) got contacted they said yes to TIV and no to TGD
Delete@14.40 trust me bro
Delete@15:01 trust me bro. Its gonna fail.
DeleteToo much nostradamus here predicted the future so they already know it will fail.
DeleteGoing to be very successful like SKP-SPU
DeleteYep. Also Toronto-SKP.
Deleteand in the meantime the airport is closing in on almost 4 milion pax.
Deleteafter the SKP-LJU blamaža (no demand at all) from the usual suspects they stil have the courage to continue ...
somebody taking OU as a treshold for sucess??? You are falling very low.
DeleteI would assume the Bay is quite pricy for many North Macedonian tourists. But its great to see new intra-Ex Yu links. Lets hope it all works well as it saves lengthy car rides. I could perhaps see people from Sofia even using the flight.
DeleteIf Hel-Tll works out (100km) why wouldnt Skp-Tgd
DeleteBecause they are both very wealthy towns with a massive degree of movement between the two. Furthermore the flights are mostly for onward connections via HEL. SKP-TGD are not comparable at all and the flight is to Tivat which does have some sense. So lets wish it the best.
DeleteAir Montenegro on fire lately!
ReplyDeletewell they had 33k macedonian tourists in 2025. 2 weekly is about 230 pax per week in one direction which should be realistic to achieve if people are aware that such a route exists and its not 300€ return
ReplyDeleteIt will probably by 200euros.
Deletenah
DeleteBased on what evidence?
Deletebased on nothing
DeleteGoing there by car for familes is still cheaper than paying four round trip tickets by plane unless each of them is 20eur with 20kg baggage included. This route will work only for the young people who dont want to spend 11 hours on a bus.
DeleteIt will work for people going to work in Montenegro in the summer (I assume some do) and for wealthy people from Skopje and Sofia. Personally i cannot see it being a flight with broad demand, that being said Montenegro Airlines pricing is increasingly looking 'civilised' some of the new routes they have launched seem priced relatively sensibly. In all honesty Skopje is ALREADY linked with Tivat by air via Belgrade. The shortest connections are around 3.5hours including the transit in Belgrade which ain't half bad. Lets give the route the benefit of the doubt, but i can't see it lasting more than a year.
DeleteIn all honesty Skopje was ALREADY linked with Lljubljana by air via Belgrade...
Delete@10:24 you know that is different now don't you...yeah you do.
Deleteno 1-stop connection from SKP matches the demand to the final destiination if there were non-stop flights to it. And LJU is the perfect example for it. What we had all to read that the market is "covered" with direct flights by OU from nearby ZAG or connecting LJU and SKP via BEG
DeleteThese flights are planned for summer holidayers, nothing less and nothing more
so two new SKP routes on the paper
ReplyDeleteWhere did you see two
Delete(DXB and TIV)
DeleteDXB flights are not yet available, I will believe when I'll see them available and scheduled
Deletethats why it says "on paper"
DeleteYAY 🌊🏖
ReplyDeleteThis is great.
3-4 days(or 7 or 10 😀) Tivat-Budva-Kotor & back
40-50 min
vs
7+h driving with 2-3 border crossings
or
10+h Bus
Hope the price is right when is published.
+1
DeleteWay better than crossing 3 borders and driving 7+ hours
DeleteI'd rather see a railway connection to Skopje airport from the city centre.
ReplyDeleteYou will see building announce soon my friend 😇
DeleteYou say that often...
DeleteGreat to see SKP is getting new intra Ex-yu route. Next hopefully would be Dubai 🤗
ReplyDeleteAir Montenegro's website (which is shite) doesn't seem to list Banja Luka as a flight for 2027. Any ideas why?
ReplyDeleteThis is beyond crazy
ReplyDeleteWell hardly. Crazy would be ensuring the city isn't linked to London just once per week during two points in Jan and Feb. Crazy would be achieving reliable flights to Frankfurt. Having a connection to Tivat is welcome, but hardly crazy.
DeleteAny transfer potential in this route? SKP-BNX and SKP-BRQ via TIV?
ReplyDeleteWhat world do you inhabit? hahahah bless.
Deletejust a poor atempt
Deletethis is 100% failure, there must be some other $ interest here
ReplyDeleteCongratulations SKP ! I still can't explain to myself why there is so much hatred whatever SKP or OHD gets. There must be oponents on every single positive news coming from there....
ReplyDeleteOr perhaps you are just a little paranoid?
