AA International Aviation Holding, a subsidiary of the turnaround fund 4K Invest, which holds a 96.06% stake in Adria Airways, has publicly announced its intention to purchase the remaining 3.94% share in the Slovenian carrier in order to secure 100% ownership. The company has informed the Slovenian Competition Protection Agency, the airline's management, trade unions and employees of its plans. The transaction is expected to be completed within the next month. AA International Aviation Holding acquired the 96.06% stake in Adria last Tuesday for 100.000 euros and an additional one million euro capital injection. It is expected to purchase the remaining stock at one euro per share. Slovenia becomes the first country in the former Yugoslavia to have completely privatised its aviation sector, with both its flag carrier and commercial airports now privately owned.
