Belgrade Airport expects strong growth

Monday, February 22, 2016

Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport expects to see strong passenger growth this year, with Managing Director, Saša Vlasivaljević, estimating the airport will surpass the five million passenger mark in October. This is despite the airport recording a downturn in figures over the past few months, influenced primarily by Air Serbia and its network reductions over the winter months. This summer, Air Serbia will commence flights to New York and is expected to introduce a number of new destinations. Furthermore, Wizz Air will launch flights to Baden-Baden, while Ellinair will operate seasonal services from Heraklion. Earlier this year, both LOT Polish Airlines and Ural Airlines launched new flights to the Serbian capital from Warsaw and Moscow respectively. In 2015, Belgrade Airport handled a record 4.776.110 passengers.

U Srbiji ceka Beogradski, Niski I Uzicki.

Imace neuporedivo veci finansijski kapacitet i marketinsku moc.

Belgrade already dropped 3 places in 2015:

I estimate some 75000 extra pax from JFK the route. But if ASL declines further on other routes, it will be hard tp generate any growth. Therefore I think that Vlaisavljevic should be happy if BEG can keep the "status-quo".....

I couldn't find the right article to post/ask, but i think here would be appropriate.
If someone in Belgrade (or maybe admin) is familiar with this?Alegedly meeting between ASL management and the mayor of Ohrid about restarting the route again?
