The Federation government of Bosnia and Herzegovina has ruled out the privatisation of its busiest airport in Sarajevo. Amadeo Mandić, the Deputy Federal Minister for Transport and Communication, says, “There are no plans on privatising Sarajevo Airport for now, especially since the airport is an important resource for the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina which shouldn’t be given away”. However, the Deputy Minister did not rule out a partial privatisation. “Whether some sort of partial privatisation will take place in the near future, is to be seen, however, that is up to the government to decide and for now there are no such indications”, Mr Mandić said.
