NEWS FLASH
Air Albania has announced it plans to launch flights between Tirana and Ljubljana on Monday September 1. With just a month and a half to go until the service launch, the Albanian flag carrier is yet to put tickets on sale or outline its planned frequencies on the route. The airline currently has a fleet of two Airbus A320 aircraft, one of which is wet-leased from Fly2Sky. The carrier was successful in obtaining subsidies from the Slovenian government for the launch of its planned new Ljubljana service, which will link the two capitals with scheduled flights for the first time in five six years.
They are seemingly a mess... No aircraft, routes announced left and right, and half of them never flying...
ReplyDeleteThey announced the route 2 times already and yet it's not available to be booked
ReplyDeleteAt least now we know the date.
DeleteWhen was the first time?

DeleteThey didn't announced a date, so this is first time.
DeleteWould much rather see Wizz flying on this route, but cannot complain!
ReplyDeleteBravo Fraport!
ReplyDeleteThey had leased other A320s from Fly2Sky and 737s from SkyUp, and probably didn't pay for them. This is actually the second A320 they're flying. They returned the first one to Bulgaria.
ReplyDeleteEdi Rama was saying they would fly from Kukes under "Air Kosova" and open a base in Vlora.

DeleteAir Albania is just a failed project of Turkish Airlines. The only reason they still exist is, because they have a monopoly on TIA-IST, which most use for transfer with THY. Wizz Air and Ryanair have destroyed them and they have no chance of competing. They are annoncing new routes and selling tickets but then cancel these flights and no one gets their money back. Everyone in Albania hates them
ReplyDeleteAnother failed project for THY after B&H Airlines.
