ReplyDeleteIn Qatar Airways press material dated 11th December 2011 Zagreb is once again mentioned as 2012 new destination, but, unfortunatly, no announcement of Belgrade.

ReplyDeleteOnly time BEG was on record was Al Baker's interview to the media, after Dubai Air Show (when that list was announced, including ZAG). He did mention a number of new destinations apart from the list, but there were only three he specifically named - BEG, KBP and LED.
Now, ZAG is still "more official" as well as the rest of the list you quoted, but announcement from Al Baker himself is the next best thing in my opinion. Hopefully, we'll see some progress soon enough, as both cities don't have the dates yet. What about billaterals?
This Dec 11th list seems like just a recycle of an old press release as a 2011 recap, I wouldn't look too much into that.

ReplyDeleteBEG Airport CEO said in an interview a few days ago that in 2012 Astra Airlines will begin seasonal flights to Belgrade from Thessaloniki while Qatar Airways will fly from Doha with an A320.

However, there was nothing besides hearsay from that point on. I don't have a clue where do people get this A320 info from, but it sure is not any QR official source.
