Zagreb Airport welcomed its millionth passenger of the year yesterday, five days ahead of 2018. The millionth traveller, Jela Ravnjak, arrived on a Croatia Airlines flight from Dublin. She received two return tickets to a destination within Croatia Airlines’ network, as well as a gift voucher from Zagreb Airport’s duty free. Croatia’s busiest airport handled 886.119 passengers during the first four months of the year, up 5.6% on 2018.

ReplyDeleteOne million people travelled through the gates of Zagreb airport! Who would believed this just a couple of years ago? Incredible result!
ReplyDeleteZagreb has been handling more than 1 million passengers for 20 years now. So don't know why some would not have believed this a couple of years ago.

When something is a giant leap that should be admitted. Now the bar is set high and ZAG will have to do much more than before. Achieving transatlantic flights would be another giant step.

Delete@Anon 15:16. You are one of those who put the bars really up. Atlanta or Beijing? Read again on which site you are. It is EX-YU- remember and think hard. And then considering all facts- Eg. Beijing being 5,4 times as big as Croatia!! not ZAG but Croatia!! and then think about what you have written and compare it with EX-YU!
Delete@Anon 16:01, you are right, I made a mistake. Within EX-YU it would be appropriate for Osijek to celebrate reaching 100.000 passengers for the first time, or ZAG reaching 4M milestone. But it makes no sense for OSI to celebrate 10.000, then 20.000, then 30.000 passengers.

ReplyDeleteIt is not a conflict of interest. It is just a coincidence. At this moment ZAG deserves favourable views among aviation analysts.

DeleteZagreb majorettes are not paid for those events in Zagreb airport. Not a one kuna in all year! Zagreb majorettes has obligation to work events like this by contract with City of Zagreb who pay us to do such a events, and in that contract Zagreb airport is taxatively listed with all events we have to work there. Sometimes we are paid by sport associations for protocol and ceremony. Last year we were paid by Croatian handball association (for European handball championship), Croatian football association, GNK Dinamo, and also by some other institutions (police, Republic of Croatia, Zagreb tourist board, Suzuki, Sokol Marić, SBO etc) to do some hospitality, ceremony and protocol in Zagreb Airport.

Zagreb Airport does not benefit from anything that Mr. Šćuric is writing and there can not be any conflict of interest there. In fact it is the opposite and in some cases they might have said that he caused damage to their reputation.

DeleteIn reply to the above, I wanted to clarify that I am not mocking anyone or anything, but quite to the contrary. I think in this day and age it looks like objectification of women to have scantily clad young women pointing sticks upwards at ceremonies like these, I think it's in poor taste, that's all. If you disagree, well it may just, may just be because you're a man.
Also, is it too much to ask to have a discussion about anything without bringing one's identity into discussion. In reply to you, I simply want to say that if you think majorettes have been invented or created in Zagreb first then you're way behind in reading:
