Adria Airways has said it is in discussion with potential investors and creditors in an attempt to resume operations. The airline has until late on October 2 to submit a viable restructuring plan to the Slovenian Civil Aviation Agency with guarantees from aircraft owners in order to avoid losing its flight permit. In a statement, the Slovenian carrier said, “Adria Airways is still leading active discussions with potential new owners and major creditors and remains dedicated in reaching positive solution for all”. The airline has cancelled all of its flights, with exception to Frankfurt, until at least Saturday morning. The Frankfurt service will be operated by Germany’s WDL Aviation and its crew. Adria's fleet has been halved after ten aircraft were repossesed by creditors over the last week. It now has two Bombardier CRJ700, four CRJ900 and four Saab 2000 aircraft at its disposal.

4k con artists. Giving false hope to people while they clean out all the accounts.

And the Slovenian CAA is directly enabling all of that by not grounding Adria.

And the government is staying silent (or at least the institutions in charge of preventing corruption) and people are complaining about pilots "moaning" about the current situation and the list goes on and on. At least 4K will be able to screw the employees and get away with their salaries.

So if they are discussing with potential investors it means 4K is not interested in saving them?

4K never had any money.. their only initial expense was 100k when they bought Adria.. and even that 100k they got back trough pervers overpaid "executive team". Other "investments" were creative book-keeping, lip-service and.. they even mortgaged flight school's airplanes.

what these bafoons from 4K don't get (or they play stupid) is that consumer confidence has deteriorated to the point that future ticket sales (at least for the upcoming 3 months) will drop by at least 50%, which will cause the same liquidity problems all over again.

A drastic re-branding/capital injection/restructuring is needed to overturn this downward spiral.

Don't get me all wrong - but let's ask ourselves, has Adria ever (since the breakup of Yugoslavia in 1991) had a solid market base ? What does the brand word "Adria" mean in German ? :)
You get it - their business which was mostly charter/leisure flights from Croatian coast to Western Europe has been taken over Croatia Airlines and other european airlines.

I agree with everything but the last part. Unfortunately OU seems to have been chased away from the coast. The market is now dominated by easyJet and I fear few can really compete with them.

Adria Airways is playing NOT FAIR GAME WITH IT MOST CUSTOMERS

They have chosen Monday 23SEP and that in the evening to declare that they will not fly and cancel all flights on 24 and 25SEP, something that aviation industry have not heard before
During the same day on 23SEP, until bank have been closed they have collected payments from local IATA BSP in all former YU countries, those where they make most of the sales; PRN, TIA, SKP, and others
Now the next period for payment on IATA BSP is due on 30SEP, Monday and if they play again dirty game canceling the flights without bankruptcy, the will collect another tranche of money collected from IATA sales period 15SEP-20SEP, people that will never fly JP flights or connecting flights LH, UA or god know and they will most probably declare bankruptcy after 2 OCT

So Slovenian state or CAA is giving time to Adria to collect more money from other countries, with other word most of ex YU states and Albania helping them to make more damage to clients that will never get any refund if they go bankruptcy after 2 OCT

Solution ADJUST AND NOT PAY JP PORTION IN BSP INVOICE

    EXAMPLE
IATA BSP on case of “MA MALEV bankruptcy” has not allowed us; many agents that we have requested not to pay the portion on MA sales on upcoming IATA BSP invoices for future flights that ever occur

    But later on similar case
IATA BSP has wrote all agents on IATA BSP on case of “VV AEROSVIT bankruptcy” the correct way and allowed all agent not to pay the VV portion of sales.

All CAA from all EX YU states, Ministry of trades and transportation, prosecutor office shall react and protect their people passangers or they will suffer 100 % loos from this dirty game

Agree 100%, but as JP's BPS is still alive you are allowed to cancel and refund tickets issued in the past and valid for future flights. Based on a fare rules, customers can still still get some money back and this would not be a case if bankruptcy would be declared.

Ben I agree too, but Adria Airways has not canceled nothing from 28SEP, only 26 and 27 and there they are rerouting some passangers on some Star Alliance flights, refunds can be made if accepted if example 28SEP flights are canceled and will be deducted from upcoming IATA BSP invoices but if after 2OCT the declare bankruptcy there is no possibility to refund too. So passangers will suffer and people will loose their money and travel agents will suffer too

And CAA: Do your job. It's clear to everyone that Adria is dead, so why are you delaying the inevitable? Trustworthy regulators should be above politics, but CAA is proving that's not the case in Slovenia -- and ordinary travelers who are still buying Adria tickets are paying the price for this cowardice.

Thank you for filing your claim with ClaimCompass.

We are sorry to inform you that the operating carrier of your flight has filed for insolvency. It is our Legal team’s latest understanding that any compensation claims filed against the airline will not be paid after the insolvency has been announced.

You are not going to step on any Adria Airline without 4K or other non-government investor paying about 90 mil eur debt. Dream on.
