Wizz Air reinstates pre-Covid pay

Wizz Air is reinstating pilot salaries to pre-Covid-19 levels from October 1. It claims to be one of the first airlines to end temporary pay cuts for pilots following the pandemic. The move coincides with the budget carrier embarking on its largest recruitment drive for pilots and cabin crew. Wizz Air plans to hire 200 pilots and 800 cabin crew members by December as it continues to ramp up operations across its network. The carrier said it was committed to creating thousands more jobs over there next decade, as it plans to triple the size of its fleet to 500 Airbus aircraft. An average of 2.000 new recruits will be taken on each year until 2030.The airline has been running numerous open day recruitment events for perspective cabin crew members across markets in the former Yugoslavia this September. Upcoming open days will be held in Belgrade, Tuzla, Skopje, Sarajevo and Mostar. The exact dates and venues can be found here.

    They better be as currently new cabin crew is not receiving salary nor coverage for entire duration of their training!
