NEWS FLASH

Low cost carrier Pegasus Airlines will introduce scheduled seasonal summer flights between Antalya and Skopje from June, complementing its existing Istanbul service and its upcoming new Izmir route. The airline will launch flights between the coastal city and Macedonia’s capital on June 4 and maintain two weekly rotations with its Airbus A320 aircraft. Frequencies will be reduced to one per week from October 4 until the end of the summer season later that month. Pegasus faces stiff competition on the route, which is also served by Anadolujet up to eleven times per week and SunExpress up to four times per week. Further flight details can be found here.

Why none of these flights depart/arrive in normal hours...I've been using these flights for the last 3-4 years for a vacation in Antalya but when you arrive early in the morning pretty much your whole next day is wasted in the lobby and once you'll get the room most often after 11am or later you go to bed and get your night sleep...On the day of departure, you do get few extra hours to enjoy the resort but if you travel with children without the room its very tough, plus you travel again very late in the night and till the time you get home its after 4am and you need to sleep again the next day...

Because they.are introduced on behalf of macedonian tour agencies who need extra Antalya capacity. This schedule fits them so they can offer an extra day. Demand to Antalya this summer is mad

Same problem I faced traveling with Sun Express. The flight from Skopje was about 3 am, and the flight back to Skopje was similar about 2 am. I have spent the first day of arrival sleeping untiil 6 pm once I arrived in Antalya. To be honest its not a good traveling schedule. It should be done in early morning to leave from Skopje and late afternoon from Antalya.

I know what you're saying but flights don't work like that. If they leave early morning from Skopje and late afternoon from Antalya that means that the plane will need to be idle for pretty much half day and that means it will lose money :). Better solution will be something like mid day flight, to arrive in Antalya around 1pm and departure to Skopje in late morning...

Most of the charter and scheduled flights to and from Turkey are operated during the evening, after mid-night and that is perfect, cuz u arrive at the hotel at 6AM and u have the whole day there, and when it is time to leave, u leave the hotel at mid-night. So you really have whole 7, 10 or 14 days of ur holiday in Turkey, and i think that is the best!
