NEWS FLASH

Air Serbia recently extended the opening hours of its Premium Lounge in Belgrade. The facility will now work from five in the morning until one in the morning the following day. By extending the lounge’s opening times by five hours, passengers travelling on the carrier’s midnight wave of departures will now be able to utilise its services. Besides Air Serbia, the lounge is also used by business class passengers flying with Turkish Airlines, Qatar Airways, Flydubai and Luxair. Travellers on Qatar Airways' and Flydubai's evening flights out of Belgrade will also be able to make use of the extended work hours.

Air Serbia’s Premium Lounge represents the first airline-specific lounge in Serbia and the former Yugoslavia. It has the capacity to seat eighty people, and offers buffet dining, bar, showers, bathrooms, prayer room, USB ports and a meeting area.

Is Dufry closing their lounge later this year?
      Will it also relocate somewhere?

Yes, the current setting is temporary (the one with the near toilette access). I was informed by the staff that the new lounge will have much stricter access rules and will be a massive improvement. That being said, the entire current setting appeared truly sad. Limited food selection, claustrophobic atmoshpere, toilets outside (!), worn out furniture, only the staff was okay, polite, chatty and looking forward to improvements.

It is true that it looks pretty worn out and is always packed. Hopefully the new one will be larger in space and more generous in offer. I am not too picky, but cold delivery pizza is really not food to be proud of in an airport lounge.

Actually, yes I am traveling this summer and purchased the 1 hour access, so we'll see 😆. But it's always nice to freshen up before a long flight

Air Serbia lounge opened in 2015 when airline had 2.55 milion passengers. Last year Air Serbia had 4.19 million passengers, a 64% growth over 2015. Lounge is beyond capacity, new or expanded lounge is needed.

In the Lounge key application it is written that the Air Serbia Premium lounge will not be part of the program effective 25MAR24. And now it is almost impossible to enter this lounge with a Key Lounge membership.
