NEWS FLASH
Capacity provider GP Aviation will commence a new service between Pristina and Paris Charles de Gaulle this coming summer. Operating on behalf of tour operators, GP Aviation will run the service early in the mornings, twice per week, starting March 31. Further flight details can be found here. GP Aviation is expected to handle over a million passengers on its Pristina operations this year, with six aircraft based at the airport, including one Airbus A319, three A320s and two Boeing 737-400s.
This has got to be the worst schedule I have ever seen for an intra Europe flight.

DeleteEven for the return flight you have to be at the airport at 5AM, meaning you have to be up by 3.45 at the latest, depending where you live in Paris
Delete5 AM is too late on a Monday, the passport control queues at CDG are enormous on Monday morning.

There is a trip report video of this airline on YT, I didn't realize they also operate retro planes. I wonder what the ticket prices are like.

ReplyDeleteTransfers to where? On two tickets in Paris? It would require you to stand in long passport queue to exit airport, likely change terminals and then again go through security, passport control etc.

ReplyDeleteAt the moment they have 8 planes in Pristina. 5 A320s, 1 A319 and two 737s. Probably for the holidays. It is interesting that most of them are on wet leases, isn't it expensive? I think it is the airline with the most flights in history to date in PRN.
ReplyDeleteA320s are 30+ years old. So maybe the price suits them. They have a strong network but operate with old aircraft. The likely costs of a wet lease are not high. As far as I know, an old A320 can be had for the price of one on a dry lease.
