For the first time, Pula Airport will host the gateway course of the esteemed ACI-ICAO Airport Management Professional Accreditation Program (AMPAP). This international executive development program is designed for airport managers across the globe and promotes the highest professional standards in all areas of airport business and operations.

Established by Airports Council International (ACI) and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), AMPAP focuses on essential aspects of airport leadership, strategic planning, and operational efficiency. Participants will gain valuable insights into global best practices, regulatory frameworks, and emerging technologies, equipping them to effectively address the challenges of modern airport management. Upon completion, graduates earn the prestigious International Airport Professional (IAP) designation.

Mr Gurjit Gill, director of Global ACI - ICAO AMPAP, emphasizes the program's significance: "The management of Pula Airport has demonstrated its commitment to nurturing executive level talent by committing to host the AMPAP gateway course ‘Global Air Mobility Systems’. It is an incredible opportunity not only for Croatian airports but for the rest of the world to train in this amazing country. We look forward to welcoming participants from far and wide for this unique experience while they embark on their new professional journey".

"Hosting such a high-level airport management program like AMPAP is a tremendous privilege for Pula Airport and a significant moment to put Croatia on the global aviation map. By enrolling into AMPAP, participants will not only acquire extensive aviation knowledge but also join a worldwide network of IAP professionals" explained Dr. Igor Å timac, PhD, IAP, EMBA, FRAeS, who is one of the lead AMPAP instructors and serves as Vice President of Infrastructure, Technology, and Operations at Zagreb Airport Ltd. He is also a proud IAP designation holder.

The AMPAP gateway course will take place at Pula Airport from May 19 to May 23, 2025. For more details about the program and to access the registration form, please visit the website or contact at ampap@aci.aero.
