NEWS FLASH

Slovenia and Uzbekistan have agreed to explore the potential introduction of flights between the two countries. The development came during a visit by Uzbekistan’s President, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, to Slovenia this week. This initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance bilateral cooperation in various sectors, including trade, technology and tourism. In 2023, Slovenia and Uzbekistan held online consultations between their respective aviation authorities to discuss further practical steps in the establishment of charter and scheduled flights between the capitals of the two countries. Based at Tashkent Airport, Uzbekistan Airways boasts a network of almost sixty destinations with a fleet of over forty aircraft.

Well if we would have more connection trough out the history with our ancestors who moved to argentina (most of those who moved to the west went to argentina) those could work easily like canada flights work for croatia, but we don’t so it won’t happen :D

The only country that could discuss them is Serbia. Recently there were almost daily cargo flights by Uzbekistan's airlines into BEG.

Uzbekistan Airways used to fly Tashkent - Belgrade - New York JFK in 2004 and 2005.

BEG - Tashkent would definitely work nowadays considering a large population of Russians in Serbia. It's a popular destination for Russians and the flights could serve as a good connection to the Siberian part of Russia especially if the prices are competitive.
With good marketing Izbekitan could also attract Serbian tourists as there are lots of attractions worth visiting
