NEWS FLASH

Air Serbia welcomed its three-millionth passenger of the year onboard today. The milestone was achieved six days ahead of 2024. The carrier’s CEO, Jiri Marek, said, "The achieved results clearly show that we are on the right course. Air Serbia is committed to further expansion and continues to invest in the modernisation of its fleet, route network expansion and the improvement of services. Our vision is clear: to be a recognisable and reliable choice for passengers both in the region and beyond”. Air Serbia’s most popular destinations since the start of the year were Tivat and Podgorica within the region, while in Western Europe there was most demand for Paris, Zurich, Barcelona and Frankfurt. In the wider Euro-Mediterranean zone, the most popular flights were to Istanbul, Larnaca and Athens. In long-haul traffic, New York remains the busiest route.

      Perhaps because, unlike you, they can see advanced booking data, capacity data and other trends.

      Six days ahead during peak season is different from being six days ahead during winter.

      @Anon 14:04
      If "advanced booking data, capacity data and other trends" are so good why is the airline reducing select routes in September and October?
      How is that gonna help get 200.000 pax extra during the last 4 moths of the year when it was only able to get 100.000 extra pax from January to August?

      They have more seats than a year ago in September and October and on top of that their load factor is growing. But that does not fit into your narrative so best to ignore it. Not sure what you are going to do when they reach 4.7 million. Probably find something else to cry and complain about.

      There are 5 more year round routes than last winter, including one long haul.

      At the end of August they will have a 3.1 m compared to 3m in 2024, that's a 3.3% growth.
      Dont get me wrong, i wish them to reach a 5m this year, but data says different now

      They are not aiming for 5 million but 4.7. The CEO said today they have 5% growth at the moment. But perhaps, you know better than him that as well.

    To achieve 4.7 millionth passenger passengers, JU needs about 6% more passengers than last year. Now it is on 5% approximately. But with announced expansion this winter, should be doable

    Should be able to break record as they have announced several seasonal routes to full year round routes.
