NEWS FLASH
Aegean Airlines will introduce seasonal summer flights between Thessaloniki and Dubrovnik during the 2026 summer season. The carrier had initially planned to launch the route back in July 2020, however, was forced to cancel those plans due to the coronavirus pandemic. This time around, Aegean will commence flights on June 1, running twice per week, on Mondays and Saturdays, with the ATR72-600 aircraft, operated by its regional brand Olympic Air. Services will be maintained until September 28. Further flight details can be found
here. The service will complement Aegean’s existing seasonal Athens - Dubrovnik operations, which will be maintained up to seven times per week next summer.
This is great for us who live in southern Macedonia and want to go to Dubrovnik, usually by car to reach Dubrovnik you need to drive for good 10 hours and with this you will reach Dubrovnik in an hour
ReplyDeleteJust wondering, how long does it take to drive from, say, Bitola to Thessaloniki Airport by car, counting in border checks
DeleteAbout three hours.
DeleteI live in Gevgelija and my trip to Dubrovnik was very long and unpleasant, this is a very good option to have, since Thessaloniki airport is an hour ride from where we live.
DeleteHay anyone tried travelling to Dubrovnik through Albania? if yes, does it make sense?
Delete^ It is a three border crossings trip. No way!
Delete@10:08 I did once with friends, during the summer. Never again.
DeleteAnd by air distance it is even not so far.
DeleteMacedonian town of Debar (220 km) is by air distance closer to Dubrovnik Airport than Šibenik (230 km).
Delete@11:15 quite the drive however ;)
DeleteBravo
ReplyDeleteFinally some more Aegean to our region!
ReplyDeleteFor Star Alliance FFP members, beware - Olympic Air is a separate airline from Aegean and you cannot earn any miles nor get any status benefits unless you're a member of Aegean's own Miles & Bonus FFP.
ReplyDelete@23.53 as far as I know that issue has been solved you will get for these OA flights miles on OU LH or other Star Alliance Ffp regular miles with no exceptions
ReplyDeleteAlso new Warsaw and Prague flights from SKG this winter with A3. Not to mention that DUS will be served now 3 times a week by Skyexpress and coming summer 6 times a week. Always with two hand pieces and free coffee, juice and biscuits.
