NEWS FLASH
Air Serbia has formalised a platinum partnership with Expo 2027, a specialised three-month exhibition set to take place in Belgrade from mid-May next year. In line with the deal, the airline has said it will enhance its capacities, increase frequencies on key markets and further promote Expo 2027 through its international network. The carrier’s CEO, Jiri Marek, noted, “The year 2027 has additional significance for us. Next year, we will mark the 100th anniversary of our company. For Air Serbia, this century represents one of tradition, continuity and the development of Serbian aviation. In the year of this great milestone, we will have the honour of being part of an event that will shape a new period of development both for the national airline and for Serbia”. During the event, Belgrade will host participants from around 140 countries and, according to organisers, more than four million visitors.

Any chance Air Serbia orders new aircraft in 2027?
ReplyDeletethere is a rumor that they will
DeleteWho's gonna pay for them?
DeleteSame as with other airlines: you, Air Serbia passenger, will pay for it over time.
DeleteLooking forward to see new destinations, special charters and other side effects of EXPO next year. Could be massive potential for tourism and growth for JU. With many controversies about the whole project, lets hope everything goes well, and that Belgrade will use this chance to get more tourists and transfer passengers and more foreign airlines (even though I am suspicious)
ReplyDeleteNo, no, they are doing all this in vain… We have smart anon here claiming that we will have a handful of tourist visitors, while majority will be from inside Serbia. Also, his counterpart expert ANALyst claims that air traffic in Serbia will be only 2-3% higher during EXPO. So they will grow capacity and frequencies for nothing actually
ReplyDeleteAnd you think that you (whoever you are) aren't a bit weird with your responses? Views differ on the event and are free to be aired. Perhaps your bANAL knee-jerk reaponse to things should make you be a bit more self-reflective.
DeleteThats a great way for JU to get extra subsidies from the Governent.
ReplyDeleteCompared to ludicrous PSO routes others use, this is not bad at all.
DeleteWhy would government need any way to subsidise JU, when it owns it? It can invest money whenever it wants to, just it doesn't
Delete@20:58 As seen in other news today and yesterday, why would governments also need to provide some forms of subsidies to OU and 4O?
DeleteYou need to improve on the issue of delays. Recently I was left by my plane because of your delay. My luggage went missing for three days only to find it having been mishandled.
ReplyDeleteImagine being in Dubai right now, where hundreds of thousands are stranded, their baggage possibly left on the other continent, not knowing when or how will they get to their destination. Is there an airline that never had flight delayed or bag missing?
DeleteWhat does platinum partnership include? What is the role of each partner, what are the obligations, what are the benefits? Paid promotion, discounted flight tickets? I guess they would increase the capacity even without partnership if they expect more passengers?
