The Croatian government has announced that Croatia Airlines will operate four flights to Dubai in order to evacuate Croatian nationals from the conflict-affected region. The Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Croatia said the flights will take place today and over the coming days. A total of 460 Croatian tourists currently in the region, as well as around 300 Croatian nationals residing there, have expressed a desire to be evacuated. At present, only limited flight operations are being conducted through a narrow air corridor connecting the region with the United Arab Emirates. These are primarily intended to repatriate those currently stranded at airports in the UAE.

Would be nice if they eventually launch scheduled flights to Dubai and Abu Dhabi once all this ends
ReplyDeletePlease, they don't even fly to Rome non-stop!
DeleteDon’t forget Athens, such stupid routes that don’t make sense. ZAG-SPU-FCO and ZAG-DBV-ATH I agree it would be nice to see them open Dubai or Abu Dhabi but with a management like this im not so sure
DeleteGood for them to inject few more millions from Croatia!
ReplyDeleteHope the crew is prepared for this, after all they are not used to these load factors.
ReplyDeletePlease don’t comment such stupid things
DeleteIt's not that much about LF. After all, during the peak season it can happen here and there that they can have full house. But it's about something else: Being used to operate Vrankvurt, Minken, Vienna, Zurich, Split, Pula and similar, 6 hours flight might seem as ultra long range for them 🤣
DeleteConditions of sending crews to a war zone is very interesting... Surely on voluntary basis. Probably some season workers that can be blackmailed.
ReplyDeleteThey wont have seasonal workers in March…and even If they did they can’t make up the entire crew
DeleteJAT flights to Baghdad over a period of time in 1985-1990 were treated as war zone flights. The crew used to be planned normally, it was not on voluntary bases. But thanks to "war supplement", night flight supplement, doubled perdiem, and enormous duty free sales percent for cabin crew, usually that single flight was equaling average monthly salary. Therefore no-one ever refused and missed it 🙂
DeleteI'm a croatian national residing in the UAE and I'm staying.
