Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport handled 895.361 passengers in June, its busiest on record, representing an increase of 3.1% year-on-year. The figure was complemented by a 1.5% increase in commercial aircraft movements. During the first half of 2026, the airport welcomed 4.200.100 travellers, up 7.2%, or an additional 282.707 passengers. In a statement, operator VINCI Airports said, “Belgrade Airport reaffirmed its dynamism, driven notably by the development of intra-European destinations such as Rome and Barcelona, marked by increased capacity and high load factors”.

Charter air traffic has collapsed completely this summer. Turkey is the major destination that has suffered the most following by Greece. Italy and Spain are doing well.

DeleteVery good. The airport remains a generally efficient and quick place to pass through, which from my perspective is also really important.
ReplyDeleteCrazy that June added the least new passengers this year, even less than February.
ReplyDeletePerhaps the collapse of demand to the Middle East which accounts for over 25 weekly flights at Belgrade might have had something to do with it.
