Adria Airways' summer

The 2015 summer season is only two weeks away and will come into effect on March 29 until October 24. According to its preliminary schedule, Adria Airways will introduce two new routes each from Ljubljana and Tirana and one new service from Lodz, while making notable reductions to its regional network. The airline’s 2015 summer timetable is in line with its new business model which calls for fewer frequencies but added capacity. This summer, Adria will introduce two weekly flights from Ljubljana to Stockholm and three weekly to Berlin on April 23 and 24 respectively. It will resume seasonal services to London Gatwick from May 16 through to September 26 and to Manchester from May 30 until September 26 as well. An additional weekly service will be added to Pristina, restoring frequencies to the same levels as in 2012.

On the other hand, flights to Podgorica and Tirana will be reduced by two weekly flights, with the airline discontinuing its evening service to the Montenegrin capital, which saw its aircraft spend the night there before returning to Ljubljana early in the morning. Flights to Skopje will be reduced for a second year in a row, with services to Sarajevo and Vienna also sustaining reductions. Interestingly, flights to Prague, launched last summer, will be reduced by one rotation this year.

From its base in Pristina, Adria will resume seasonal flights to Malmo from June 24 to September 2. Services to Frankfurt and Munich will maintain the same frequencies as last year. The Slovenian carrier will introduce two new destinations from Tirana with two weekly flights to Brussels and Paris. The airline will base a newly leased Bombardier CRJ700 in Lodz and launch six weekly flights to Amsterdam and double its frequencies to Munich from six to twelve weekly flights.

Please note that the changes listed below are preliminary and based on current availability in the Global Distribution System (GDS). Furthermore, the table below displays the peak weekly frequency on each route during the course of the summer season. Increases in frequencies to some destinations may not come into effect until later on in the summer. EX-YU Aviation News will bring you Croatia Airlines’ network changes next week. In the meantime, you can also review planned modifications made by Air Serbia and Montenegro Airlines.

    It's seems one of their biggest basis is Munich. It's interesting, I think their network has gone through the biggest transformation over the past few years in ex-Yu.

    Hmm. Adria is reducing Skopje, Podgorica, Tirana, and Sarajevo. I wonder if this could be because Air Serbia has taken over some of that market share.

    They cut frequency in TIA is because of new destinations launched from there. Otherwise JP will fly with bigger aircrafts from most of the airports. Make sense. ASL in TIA has nothing to do with it.

      SKP is an ideal winter destination for the Atr. However, during the summer the flights are usually full, especially with passengers from Australia.

      For JU, SKP is an important cargo destinationa s well.

      What, do you expect 2 daily flights on every destination for 20€ return?

      Lower price are possible with less frequencies on bigger planes.

      Leisure pax will use this flights and will choose them to discover new cities while business passenger will use connecting flights (via star alliance hubs) which are expenisve but will use them well.

      Even LCC do not fly daily to every destination becuase there are not just enaugh passengers for it.

      Yes I noticed that, but its expected when they offer more connections plus better prices and of course better service ( I dare anyone to argue now that Adria has better service since even for a glass of water you have to pay).
      "Skoro sve kompanije", well there is only 3 of them since I am not counting B&H.

    An ok schedule for an airline trying to be a hybrid. My only concern is that they are being given routes out of Munich that Lufthansa doesn't really want to try. Basically they are being given leftovers and even got Lufthansa's CRJ 700 for it. And yes reducing Prague after only 1 season since its launch isn't very optimistic.

      Those flights will be Budapest via Minsk, so BEG couldn't even secure to be that secondary stop. I am not trying to praise BEG, but I feel like BEG would have been a better choice looking from AirChina perspective. When it comes to China is Minsk really stronger market than BEG? OTHER THAN POLITICS OF COURSE, since I know that Minsk has outstanding relations with China. I am pretty sure this was politically motivated for Minsk, while for Budapest I know that there is a lot of traffic.

      Budapest is only a stop on the outbound flight. Doesn't make a lot of sense for passengers, but maybe for cargo.

      Air Serbia was talking about codeshare with Air China. This means Air Serbia could use BEG-BUD route to feed codeshare on Air China flight, if the timing is right.

      still disappointing that hey choose Minsk over Belgrade due to following: 1) ASL could feed those flights more effectively than Belavia 2) Small community of Chinese people in Serbia could contribute a bit to the traffic 3) Belgrade is just a more vibrant city than Minsk 4) Only negative for BEG is that there is probably more cargo in Minsk than in Belgrade
