Montenegro Airlines has seen its passenger numbers grow during the first quarter of the year. The carrier handled 84.667 travellers over the past three months, an increase of 5.6% during the same period last year. The airline faces increased competition from low cost operators this summer, as it tries to improve its finances with the help of Etihad Airways under a commercial cooperation agreement. Montenegro Airlines handled almost 580.000 passengers on 6.800 flights during 2015, up 5% on the year before.
