NEWS FLASH

Niš Constantine the Great Airport handled 36.295 passengers as of last night, surpassing its 2015 end-of-year result when it saw 36.200 travellers. The figure was achieved thanks to Wizz Air's flights from Basel and Malmo. The airport anticipates welcoming over 100.000 passengers by the end of the year, with Wizz to introduce services from Eindhoven and Dortmund in August and Ryanair to follow with flights from Bergamo, Berlin, Bratislava and Weeze between September and November. Local authorities have noted that a handful of other routes should be launched by the end of the year as well. Due to increased traffic and the planned arrival of new carriers, Niš Airport recently began tender procedures aimed at developing project documentation for the expansion of its passenger terminal. The airport is looking at expanding both check-in and security areas and plans to handle 380, both arriving and departing, passengers at the same time. Furthermore, the airport is expected to open a duty free shop soon which will be managed by Swiss-based, American-owned, travel retailer Dufry.

No it does not. Read more carefully. It says it can handle 380 passengers that are both arriving and departing at the same time.
