Adria bans Galaxy Note 7 phones

NEWS FLASH

Adria Airways has followed in the footsteps of several global carriers and banned the use of Samsung Galaxy Note 7 phones on board its aircraft due to security concerns. In a statement, the airline said the devices needed to be turned off during the entire flight, cannot be charged on board and should not be placed into checked-in luggage. The measure is in line with recommendations issued recently by the European Aviation Safety Agency in the aftermath of reports of dozens of Galaxy Note 7 devices exploding due to a battery fault.
