NEWS FLASH

Adria Airways will operate its last flight with its sole remaining Bombardier CRJ200 aircraft, registered S5-AAG, this evening. The final commercial service is scheduled to touch down in Ljubljana from Prague at 19.30 CET. The 48-seat aircraft, which features the Star Alliance livery, turned sixteen this year and is the only jet owned by the airline. It has been sold to Regional One, a Russian purchaser, leaser and seller of aircraft. The jet was delivered new to Adria and entered into service in March 2000. It carried 1.053.933 passengers for the airline during its run. The Slovenian carrier opted for the CRJ200s in 1997 in order to replace its ageing DC-9s and Dash 7s. Adria began phasing out the type in 2013. The airline added a third CRJ700 to its fleet last weekend as a replacement for the outgoing CRJ200.
