EX-YU Aviation News has been selected as one of the top fifty most influential aviation blogs and websites for aviation professionals by Feedspot, which compiles the most comprehensive list of the best aviation blogs on the Internet. The list is compiled based on search and social metrics such as Google search rank, social media visibility, quality and consistency and a review by the website's editorial team. EX-YU Aviation News ranked twelfth, with Aviation Week Network taking top spot. The list also features popular sites including Airline Reporter and Aviationcv. It marks the first time EX-YU Aviation News has been featured on the list and is the only website from the region to be included. EX-YU Aviation News went online on June 1, 2008 and has been updated on a daily basis ever since. The number of visitors has increased each year, with the number of unique visitors growing 19.4% so far this year compared to 2015, while the number of pageviews increased by the same margin to over 3.5 million.

    In the german speaking part I see only Aerotelegraph with daily updates news. Over a 100 mio in Europe are German speaking. Behind ex YU aviation there is much dedication and working hours to enable such a blog. Coupled with all the vintage Photos it proves to be an important heritage and information tool of our regional aviation

    If this blog really wishes to flourish instead of stagnate, it needs urgently to widen the scope towards the whole of Balkans/SE Europe, including Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Moldova, Albania...
