NEWS FLASH

Montenegro Airlines, which was to select a new management team tomorrow following the resignation of the President of the Board of Directors, Daliborka Pejović, in December 2016, has delayed the decision. The selection process will now take place next Tuesday as the government mulls how to resolve the ongoing crisis at the carrier, which has been hit by a wave of resignations, flight delays, cancellations, a silent protest by disgruntled first officers and poor finances. The Montenegrin Prime Minister has requested for an urgent review into the carrier's operations with the Ministry for Transport to report its findings shortly. Local media have suggested that the state, as the majority shareholder, could liquidate the airline in an attempt to write off over sixty million euros worth of debt. Meanwhile, Ms Pejović will become a Member of Parliament for the governing Democratic Party of Socialists.
