NEWS FLASH

Ukrainian carrier Dniproavia has cancelled plans to launch a three weekly service between Kiev and Ljubljana this summer. Flights were scheduled to commence on June 27 and run with an Embraer E145 aircraft each Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. However, the carrier has suspended ticket sales for the route and Ljubljana Airport has removed the flights from its timetable. The Slovenian and Ukrainian capitals were last linked with a scheduled air service during the summer of 2011 when Adria Airways maintained seasonal flights between the two cities.

probably a smart idea to cancel flights if their LF is low. Waste of money and resources on an underperforming route. Congrats to the airline on realising it will only lose money on the route

Dniproavia is under the threat of nationalization according to the recent court decision. I doubt their decision to withdraw from Ljubljana has something to do with LF...

I would say that a lack of interest and the small market is exactly what is to blame
They are also launching Bucharest and expanding in Bulgaria, those services have not been cut or reduced

The population of Kiev alone is 2.8 million; Ukraine as a whole is 45 million. Not exactly small markets so a lack of interest could be more to do with poor marketing.
