Slovenia's VLM Airlines launched scheduled flights from Maribor to Split and Dubrovnik yesterday, marking Edvard Rusjan Airport's first new service since 2015. The two routes, which will operate once per week throughout the month with the fifty-seat Fokker 50 aircraft, could be extended past the summer due to strong interest. Boris Bobek from Maribor Airport said the new flights are proving popular as there is no service from Slovenia's capital to the Adriatic coast. Both inaugural flights were half full, with ticket sales commencing just over a week ago. Apart from the scheduled flights from Maribor to Split and Dubrovnik, VLM Airlines is also operating seasonal services from Italy (Ancona, Bari and Salerno) to Croatia (Brač, Split and Zadar), Greece (Corfu, Preveza and Zakynthos) and Montenegro (Podgorica and Tivat). In a few weeks, VLM will disclose more details on its winter operations, which commence on October 29. The carrier plans to add Fokker 70, Airbus A320 and A330 aircraft to its fleet in the coming period.

They could also fly to TIV at least twice a week with starting tickets one way at 69 EUR or so.

Doesn't look very full and I have feeling everyone on that plane knew each other. Maybe extended family got some free rides to make the new flights look fuller?
