Zagreb Airport handles three-millionth passenger

NEWS FLASH

Zagreb Airport handled its three-millionth passenger today, marking the first time it has managed to do so in a single year. The traveller was bound for Brussels on a Croatia Airlines flight this afternoon. Zagreb Airport has targeted passenger growth of 8% in 2017, although this figure has been surpassed with numbers improving almost 13%. During the January - November period it handled 2.886.371 travellers. The new milestone reached today tops off a successful year for the airport which saw the opening of its new multi million euro terminal building, the launch of Emirates flights to the Croatian capital, and notable expansion by Croatia Airlines from its hub.

  6. That is good growth. If the concessionaire can manage 8% growth YoY I would be very satisfied with that. The focus should be to secure frequent connections to EU hubs and postpone LCC expansion for a couple of years.

    1. I am still hoping someone jumps in to replace ZB and to compensate for OU's incompetence. I doubt BA will use one of the valuable slots at LHR to increase ZAG. Maybe they will go for LGW?
