Niš Constantine the Great Airport has registered its busiest year on record by handling 331.582 passengers, up 165.4% on 2016. During the year, the airport recorded 1.477 aircraft movements, an improvement of 104.6% and processed 2542.9 tons of cargo, up 29.2%. During 2018, the Serbia and Montenegro Air Traffic Services Agency will put into operation an instrument landing system (ILS) at Niš Airport. The equipment provides guidance to aircraft approaching and landing on a runway during low ceilings or reduced visibility due to fog, rain or snow. Furthermore, a 3.5 million euro expansion of the terminal building is scheduled to commence during the year. Niš Airport estimates handling some 450.000 passengers in 2018.

Ti novi letovi ako budu najavljeni ce biti dobra vest, ali bojim se da ce, ako ih bude, to biti tek opet od nekog oktobra ili novembra 2018 sto nece bitno uticati na broj putnika na INI u 2018.
U svakom slucaju bi INI trebao da bude prezadovoljan ako ovu godinu zavrsi na max 380000

So, INI will never catch up to SKP, it may narrow the gap in the years to come though. INI dose have a chance to take some pax from SOF, SKP and PRN, even BEG, but at the same time pax from Niš and southern Serbia also use the neighbouring airports.
Nis has lower costs and a larger catchment area. Unlike SKP it didn't need to pay Wizz for it to start flying from there.
INI offers subsidies in the form of much lower charges, so, same affect as direct gov. subsidies.
