Iberia upgrades Zagreb service

Spain's national flag carrier will upgrade its seasonal summer flights between Madrid and Zagreb to year-round operations. The airline will maintain two weekly services, each Tuesday and Saturday, between the two capitals over the 2018/19 winter season which commences on October 28. Iberia is offering 78% more seats to Zagreb this summer and has brought forward the resumption of the service to May. Normally, the route used to operate between June and September.

    This is great news for ZAG. More and more Spanish citizens travel to Croatia for city breaks and this will mean a lot for Croatian tourism.

    on another note, Aegean just recently extended the summer season past September 29th on the route ATH-ZAG-ATH. The flights now run until the end of October, 2pw.

    I think there is huge demand from/to Latin America to ZAG. The connections via MAD are great.
    I wonder if the same will happen with BEG with the Iberian penisula. Also the flights to Guadelope once Vinci takes over.

    Not really. Some people here hinted that Aegean will extend the flights year round. But the fact is that the last bookable date was September 29th. This was changed just recently.
