Montenegro Airlines posts improved results

Montenegro Airlines has seen both its financial and operational results improve so far this year. In a statement, the carrier's CEO, Živko Banjević, said, "The business results achieved are in line with plans set for 2018, and have improved 1.25 million euros compared to last year, representing our best figures over the past five years. During the first quarter, the company met all of its obligations". The CEO added that the airline is on the path to recovery. The Montenegrin carrier handled 84.000 passengers during the first quarter, while figures improved 2.1% in April when it welcomed 38.476 travellers on board its aircraft. Furthermore, May bookings indicate passenger growth of 26% on last year. During the summer season, the company will serve thirty destinations in fifteen countries and will carry some 360.000 travellers between June 1 and September 1. Overall, Montenegro Airlines anticipates welcoming some 620.000 passengers on board its aircraft in 2018.
